We welcome you to visit all sections of this site which include photos, written reflections, and information about the Burke O'Brien Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Also included are sections on the crime, which have links to several articles, media coverage, and contact information for the NYPD and tip line.  We also welcome you to share your thoughts, reflections, and photos.

Burke O'Brien was shot to death on January 12th, 2003 on Manhattan's Lower East Side (75-79 Orchard St.) by unknown perpetrators. The killer or killers are still a large.  Any information or help you can provide would be profoundly appreciated.

If you were unable to watch ABC's documentary "NYPD 24/7" Tuesday July 20th, 2004 segments can be viewed by going to Seven Inches Of Sense and using the icon near the upper right corner.

The Burke O'Brien Memorial Fund has been established to continue Burke's life work; we deeply appreciate your contributions and participation. Our wilderness expeditions are run in conjunction with  Northwaters and Langskib, Wilderness Canoe Adventures.  This program is dedicated to teaching young people how to be with nature, how to be with one another, and ultimately how to be with themselves.
